Monday, 24 October - USA Departure
Board bus in Maryland bound for Newark Liberty Airport. Depart on overnight EL AL flight to Israel.

Tuesday, 25 October - When You Come Into the Land (Deut. 26:1)
Arrive in Israel to be met and assisted at Ben Gurion Airport by your ITC representative. Ascent to Jerusalem. Take in the breathtaking view of the Old City of Jerusalem from the Haas Promenade, standing where our forefather Abraham stood at the dawn of history. Hotel check-in and welcome dinner.

Wednesday, 26 October - In Jesus' Footsteps Through Jerusalem
Our morning begins with breathtaking views of the Old City and Temple Mount from Mount Scopus and the Mount of Olives. Walk down past the ancient Jewish cemetery to the Church of Dominus Flevit, the beautiful "Teardrop Church" and continue to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Visit Augusta Victoria Hospital, a special Lutheran humanitarian project. Walk through Jewish Quarter of the Old City, including the Cardo, the Burnt Room, the Herodian Mansion, & the four ancient synagogues. Our day concludes at the Garden Tomb and the Hill of Golgotha.

Thursday, 27 October - Ancient Jerusalem and Bethlehem
In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the massive foundation stones of the Western Wall. Explore the Southern Wall Excavations and learn more about the ancient Jerusalem Temple at the Davidson Center. On Mount Zion, visit David's Tomb and the Upper Room, site of the Last Supper. Visit the city of Bethlehem to tour the Church of the Nativity and Shepherd's Field. Enjoy a tour of the unique community of Tekoa and home hospitality for coffee and cake with a Tekoa family.

Friday, 28 October - Those Who Sacrificed
Visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Children's Memorial at Yad Vashem. Contemplate the beautiful Chagall windows at the Hadassah Hospital. Walk through colorful, bustling Machaneh Yehuda open-air market, as Jerusalem prepares for Shabbat. Welcome Shabbat at the Western Wall (Kotel) along with thousands of others. Shabbat dinner at the hotel.

Shabbat, Saturday, 29 October - Shabbat in Jerusalem
Take a Shabbat walking tour in the Old City, including: the Pools of Bethesda, Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross), Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Jewish Quarter, Armenian Quarter and Cathedral. Free evening in Jerusalem.

Sunday, 30 October - Freedom Fighters or Fanatics?
Ascend Masada by cable car. Tour this impressive excavation and discuss the terrible dilemma faced by its Jewish population during Roman times. Enjoy a walk through the beautiful Ein Gedi Nature Reserve to the waterfall and review the biblical story of kings David and Saul "on site". Stop for a dip, mud baths, and hot showers at Mineral Beach on the amazing Dead Sea. Visit the excavation of Kumran, home of the mysterious ancient sect that authored the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Monday, 31 October - Jerusalem and Her Surrounding Hills
Visit Lifeline for the Old, a moving crafts workshop that employs Jerusalem elderly. Enjoy shopping for unique hand-crafted Judaica items in their store. Stop at the magnificent Supreme Court building, and learn about Israel's unique justice system. Visit the newly renovated Israel Museum, including the Shrine of the Book; the Second Temple Model of Jerusalem; Judaica, art, and archeology exhibits. Evening: Attend The Night Spectacular, the fabulous new sound and light show at the Tower of David Museum.

Tuesday, 1 November - The Jordan River Valley and Galilee Communities
Travel north along Israel's border with Jordan. Tour the remarkable excavations of the ancient Roman city of Beit Shean, including a magnificent Cardo, Roman baths, residences, and amphitheatre. Explore the magnificently excavated ancient city of Tzippori, home to Rabbi Judah the Prince; discover ancient beauty and evidence of a community in which Jews and Romans once coexisted peacefully. Visit Mary's Well and the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth. Proceed to our hotel for check-in and dinner at the Pagoda restaurant.

Wednesday, 2 November - Galilee Region
Enjoy a boat cruise on the Sea of Galilee (Lake Kinneret). Proceed to the excavations of the ancient Caperneum Synagogue on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, the focal point of Jesus' ministry At the Mount of Beatitudes, stand at the site of the Sermon on the Mount. Visit Tabgha, the traditional site of the miracle of fish and loaves, and the Church of Multiplication with its 4th Century mosaic floor. At Agam Hahula (Hula Lake) ride golf carts around the lake; learn about and see some of the millions of birds that migrate through Israel each year.

Thursday, 3 November - Tzefat and the Golan Heights
Tour the synagogues, courtyards, and shops of the mystical city of Tzefat. Ascend the Golan Heights and stop to gaze down over the Galilee as the Syrians once did; enter former Syrian bunkers and learn how master spy Eli Cohen revealed their secrets. Stop for lunch (at participants' expense) at a Golan Druze Village. Ascend to the peak of Har Bental, where you can enter army bunkers and take in a panoramic view at the crossroads of three countries; discuss the significance of the Golan Height in today's geo-political reality. Take a tour and taste the fruits of the region in the form of award-winning wines at the Golan Winery. Free time for dinner (on one's own) on the Tiberias Promenade.

Friday, 4 November - The Mediterranean Coast
Early hotel departure to travel to the Mediterranean Coast. Explore the ruins of the Medieval Crusader Fortress of Acco. Drive through the beautiful Port of Haifa. See ancient history come to life at the multi-media center against the backdrop of ancient Caesaria. Excavations include the impressive amphitheatre and aqueduct. Stop for a brief visit to Rabbi Cahan's parents' graves in Netanya. Continue south to Tel Aviv, and stroll through the charming Nahlat Binyamin Pedestrian Mall and the bustling Carmel Market. Transfer to our hotel in Tel Aviv to prepare for Shabbat. Shabbat dinner at the hotel.

Day at leisure in Tel Aviv. Evening stroll and dinner, on the beach and Dizengoff Street.

Sunday, 6 November - The Wonders of the Negev
Travel south to explore the Beit Guvrin / Tel Maresha National Park and on to the gates of the ancient fortress of Lachish. Visit Tel Beer Sheva, with Abraham's well, then south to Avdat to investigate its ancient Nabatean city. West through Sderot, overlooking Gaza, then up the coast road through Ashkelon and the Port of Ashdod, returning to Tel Aviv.

Monday, 7 November - The Delights of Tel Aviv and Old Jaffa
Tour Old Jaffa and its beautiful craft shops. Around Tel Aviv, to Yitzhak Rabin Square, the Eretz Yisrael Museum, the Palmach Museum, and a visit to the breathtaking, new Opera House. Enjoy a farewell dinner at Maganda Restaurant. Depart for Ben Gurion Airport for overnight flight to USA

Tuesday, 8 November - A Temporary Departure
