Hol Hamoed Pesah; Erev Hag - Arrival in Israel (12:25
pm), to be met and assisted at Ben Gurion Airport by your
ITC representative. Proceed to the modern Hebrew city of Tel
Aviv for hotel check-in. Festive Pesah holiday dinner at the
hotel. Overnight: Carlton Hotel, Tel Aviv
Friday, 13 April – Hag Aharon (Last Day in Israel) of Pesah

Sunday, 15 April – Foundations of the Modern State
Our youth counselor joins us this morning
Take part in the mitzvah of "leket," as you harvest crops to
be distributed to the poor with Leket Israel, formerly known
as Table to Table. At
Weizmann Institute
in Rehovot learn of
the impressive accomplishments of Israel’s top science university;
group may split: walk through the superbly appointed
Weitzman family mansion to enjoy its fine design and architecture
OR visit the Science Garden for a fun, hands-on experience
of Israel’s cutting-edge science and technology
At Independence Hall, relive Ben Gurion’s moving declaration of
the State. Enjoy an impressive presentation of the amazing
achievements of the Palmach at the multi-media Palmach
Museum (age 6 and up only) Free evening in Tel Aviv

Monday, 16 April – Partners in Israel
Take part in activities with Israeli peers in our P2K Gilboa
Region. Tour the synagogues, courtyards, and shops of the
mystical city of Tzefat. Glide down the Jordan River in a
kayak (age 5 and over) Check-in followed by dinner at the
hotel. Overnight: Kibbutz Lavi Hotel, Tiberias
Tuesday, 17 April – The Golan Heights
Plant a tree in Israeli soil in honor or in memory of a loved
one. Ascend the Golan Heights, and stop to gaze down over
the Galilee as the Syrians once did; enter former Syrian
bunkers and learn how master spy, Eli Cohen, revealed their
secrets. Visit to IDF Base (arranged by Rabbi)
Travel through the Golan Heights by jeep, off the beaten
track, and learn how Golan water sources have played a central
role in military conflict in the region. Travel south along
Israel’s border with Jordan for the ascent to Jerusalem
Gaze upon the Old City of Jerusalem from the Haas
Promenade, standing where Abraham stood at the dawn ofJewish history; take in the breathtaking view.Free evening in Jerusalem (dining suggestions to be provided)

Wednesday, 18 April – Remembering
Visit the new Holocaust Memorial Museum (age 12 and up only)
and the Children’s Memorial at Yad Vashem. Alternative for
younger children: Visit the Jerusalem Bird Conservatory to see
birds ringed for tracking by conservationists and to take part
in an ecology workshop (accompanied by adult/s; not included in
tour price) Go way back in time at the “Dig for a Day” program
at Beit Guvrin; uncover actual artifacts as you participate
in an ongoing archeological dig. Spelunking (cave crawling)
also available for the adventurous. Visit colorful, bustling
Machaneh Yehuda open-air market – am yisrael chai!

Thursday, 19 April – Jerusalem of Old - Yom Hashoah
Take part in a moving B’nei mitzvah service at Robinson’s Arch,
the “Masorti Kotel”. Explore the Southern Wall Excavations
and learn more about the ancient Jerusalem Temple at the
Davidson Center. Travel through many centuries as you tour
the Jewish Quarter. Two groups alternate at each site: In
the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the massive foundation
stones of the Western Wall AND Go way back in time to King
David’s Jerusalem in David’s City and enjoy sloshing through
Hezekiah’s water tunnel (strap-on water shoes and flashlights
needed) Tentative: Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebratory dinner, to be
hosted by celebrating families (not included in tour price)

Friday, 20 April – Freedom Fighters or Fanatics?
Early departure for the Dead Sea Region
Ascend Masada by cable car; tour this impressive excavation
and discuss the terrible dilemma faced by its Jewish population
during Roman times. Descend Masada by the Roman Ramp
Enjoy a camel trek through the desert and a delicious Bedouin
lunch in a Bedouin tent at Nokdim Camel Ranch
Enjoy a dip and mud baths at Mineral Beach on the amazing
Dead Sea. Return to Jerusalem to prepare for Shabbat
Kabbalat Shabbat at a synagogue of your choice or at a scenic
overlook. Delicious Shabbat dinner at the hotel
