Overnight flight to Israel

Sunday, 4 December - When You Come Into the Land (Deut. 26:1)
Arrive in Israel, to be met and assisted at Ben Gurion Airport by your ITC representative Travel to Israel's northern Mediterranean Coast. Take a panoramic bus tour of the sparkling port city of Haifa, including views of the spectacular Bahai Gardens. Hotel check-in followed by a welcome dinner at the hotel

Monday, 5 December - Varied Models of Coexistence
In Atlit walk through the detention camp that held Holocaust refugees denied entry into Eretz Yisrael by the British; see the incredible, newly arrived "illegal immigration" boat with its wonderful a/v presentation about heroic pre-State immigration. Explore the magnificently excavated ancient city of Tzippori, home to Rabbi Judah the Prince; discover ancient beauty and evidence of a community in which Jews and Romans coexisted peacefully. Participate in a fascinating morning seminar on Arab-Jewish coexistence at the Givat Haviva Seminar Center, including a visit to an Israeli Arab village. Free evening in Haifa

Tuesday, 6 December - Tikkun Olam
Tour the synagogues, War of Independence Sites, and artist colony of the mystical city of Tzefat. Meet with a Tzefat abbalistic artist in his gallery to explore Jewish mysticism through the prism of his creations. Volunteer to help those in need in a Tzefat soup kitchen. In Tiberias, visit Dona Gracia House to become acquainted with the fascinating life of this 16th century Jewish heroine and Tiberias financial leader via dramatic storytelling and an opportunity to pose for photos in period clothing. Travel south along Israel's border with Jordan for the ascent to Jerusalem. Stop to take in a breathtaking view of the Old City of Jerusalem, awash in lights. Wednesday, 7 December - Jerusalem of Old
Morning Torah study session on the subject of Jerusalem at the Conservative Yeshiva. Tour the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in the Christian Quarter. Enjoy some time browsing through the Arab Market Travel through many centuries as you tour the Jewish Quarter, including the Cardo and entrances to the Herodian Mansions and the recently rebuilt Hurva Synagogue, once the Great Synagogue of Jerusalem. Free time for lunch (on one's own) in the Jewish Quarter . Explore the Southern Wall Excavations and learn more about the ancient Temple at the Davidson Center. Dinner at leisure (dining suggestions to be provided). Evening: In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the Western Wall's massive foundation stones.

Thursday, 8 December - Jerusalem Then and Now
Tour the architecturally unique Israeli Supreme Court building and focus on Israel's justice system. Visit the newly renovated Israel Museum, including the Shrine of the Book; the Second Temple Model of Jerusalem; Judaica, art, and archeology exhibits. Lunch (on one's own) at the Israel Museum, In the Tower of David Museum, take in a wonderful presentation of the history of the city and a beautiful rooftop overview of the Old and New cities. Evening seminar with Ophir Yarden on interfaith relations in Jerusalem or with relatives of terror victims.

Friday, 9 December - Living In Light of Memory
Visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Children's Memorial at Yad Vashem. Take a sobering walk through the history of the Jewish State at the Har Herzl Military Cemetery. Walk through colorful, bustling Machaneh Yehuda open-air market as Jerusalem prepares for Shabbat. Walking tour of Nahlaot - Discover one of Jerusalem's most fascinating, multicultural neighborhoods. Depart Jerusalem and cross into Jordan at the Allenby Bridge Gaze into Israel from Mt. Nebo, the burial site of Moses Tour Madaba, the "city of mosaics" . Monday, 12 December - The Wonders of Petra
Morning tour of Amman Mid-morning departure for Petra for mid-afternoon arrival: begin to explore the amazing decorated red rock formations of the ancient Nabateans. Tour Petra's treasury, the Roman theatre, and the impressive caves and rock formations of this Nabatean City (lunch included)
